This piece is about my process of letting go of what I thought women were supposed to be. I had tried for many years to build what I thought was a pretty good, realistic seeming female. I didn't notice she was missing arms, and that she was duct taped together. The butterflies represent the element of nature. A gentle but powerful symbol of the strength and incredible tenderness of women.
